Bbk codes for gal lm universal remote control. How to set up a universal remote control for your TV? Instructions

Recently I encountered a banal problem - the LCD Samsung TV LE-32S81B remote control died. More precisely, he didn’t die, some buttons just stopped working, as luck would have it, the most used ones are channel switching and volume. Disassembling the remote control and wiping its insides with alcohol gave some effect, but it was temporary - after 3 days, you had to press the button as hard as you could to change channels. Tired of it!

Puzzled by the purchase of a new remote control, I conducted a raid on online stores and realized that I couldn’t buy an original remote control for less than 800 rubles. I went to the M-Video store, they offered me a non-original remote control for 900 rubles, for which they were sent along the fence to read the inscriptions, and during a visit to Auchan they purchased a “good cheap” GAL LM-P003 remote control for 350 rubles and 2 AAA batteries for him.

The most interesting thing was ahead - setting up the GAL remote control to work correctly with a Samsung TV.

Comes with remote control detailed instructions How to do this, it contains several methods - manual, automatic and semi-automatic. There is a separate piece of paper containing a list of codes for different types equipment - a sheet almost the size of a TV, and filled on both sides - no less than 1000 codes! Fortunately, there is a grouping of codes by device type (TV, Audio, Video, DVD, etc.) and by manufacturer.

Automatic method is that the remote control goes through all the codes from this table and gives a command to turn off (by default the TV should be turned on). If the TV turns off, then the code has been selected and you need to press the OK button within 2 seconds. I first launched this method of selecting a code, but quickly realized that I could sit from morning until evening while it sorted through all the codes. Moreover, you cannot leave the TV in time to press the OK button. I don’t know who to recommend this method to - except maybe housewives or retirees who have a lot of free time :)

Manual method faster and more practical. In the section with codes, we look for the type of equipment and its manufacturer, in my case - TV / Samsung. There will be about 40 four-digit codes in this section. We proceed as follows, here are step-by-step instructions:

1. Press the TV button on the remote control and hold it for 3 seconds, the indicator on the remote control lights up.

2. After this, enter the code using numbers, for example, 0064. The indicator goes out, the code is accepted.

3. To check, press the channel switch button. If the TV does not react at all, go back to step 1 and enter the following code. And so on until the TV responds to commands from the remote control.

I was able to enter a working code after about the 20th attempt, the remote control controlled the TV, but incorrectly - the channels were switched, the volume was adjusted, but the setup menu did not work - instead of going through the items (with the joystick), the channels were switched. I continued my search and found at least 5 more working combinations. The optimal code for the Samsung LE-32S81B TV was 0565. All functions work - menu and teletext (although I don’t use it) and other rarely used settings.

Let's summarize. The GAL-P003 remote control turned out to be quite functional and an inexpensive substitute for the original remote control. remote control. I had to tinker with reading the instructions and setting up the remote control for about 15 minutes. The remote control range is at least 5 meters (on fresh batteries).

In terms of tactile sensations, the GAL-P003 remote control is, of course, not ideal - it feels cheap in everything. The body is made of inexpensive and lightweight plastic, painted silver. There are small nicks along the junction of the top and bottom panels. The volume and channel switching buttons do not have the most convenient shape; they are pressed tightly, and a click is felt at the end of the button. The remaining buttons are convex and easier to press. The labels on the main buttons are easy to read, but I think they will wear off over time with heavy use. If you value expensive and high-quality things and accessories, this remote control is not for you. But if you just want a remote that works, the GAL-P003 is a perfectly practical choice.

3 GETTING STARTED Carefully, observing polarity, install two AAA batteries into the special compartment. Alkaline batteries are recommended. Remember to change the batteries at least once a year. Set up the remote control to work with the devices you need. There are several ways you can do this. After saving the code, turn on your device, for example a TV, switch the remote control to TV control mode using the “TV” button and check the operation of all buttons on the universal remote control. If any buttons do not work properly, try a different code. If this does not help or you cannot find the device code at all, you can learn the buttons of the universal remote control using the original remote control using the learning function. ENTERING A CODE MANUALLY Find your device brand from the list of brands in the table. Each device brand is associated with one or more four-digit codes. Press and hold the desired device selection button, for example, "TV". After 3 seconds, when the indicator lamp lights up, release the button. Enter the four-digit device code. As each digit is entered, the indicator lamp flashes and after entering the fourth digit it will go out, and the code will be saved in the remote control memory. If the code you enter is incorrect, the lamp will blink twice and remain on until you enter the correct code. SEQUENTIAL CODE MANUALLY Press and hold the desired device selection button, for example, “TV”. After 3 seconds, when the indicator lamp lights up, release the button. Turn on the TV and point the remote at it. To select a code, use the “CH+” or “CH-” buttons. Each time you press a button, the remote sends a power-off signal, cycling through the codes in ascending (“CH+”) or descending (“CH-”) order, respectively. The light flashes while the signal is being sent. When the required code is found, your TV will turn off. Press the "OK" button, the indicator lamp will go out and the code will be saved in the remote control. In some modifications of remote controls, searching can be done using the “LEFT”, “RIGHT” OR “VOL-”, “VOL+” buttons, respectively AUTOMATIC CODE SEARCH Turn on the device you have chosen, for example, a TV and point the remote control at it. Press and hold the desired device selection button, for example, "TV". After 3 seconds, when the indicator lamp lights up, release the button. The light flashes while the signal is being sent. When the TV turns off, press the "OK" button. The indicator lamp will go out and the device code will be saved in the remote control memory. Each time you start an automatic search, it starts from the last stored code. Once the cycle is complete, the indicator lamp will go out and the search mode will be disabled. The duration of the search cycle can reach 30 minutes. 3

4 SEARCH BY MANUFACTURER NAME USING THE NUMERIC KEYS. Find the device manufacturer in the list of brands in the table of digital buttons by company. Each numeric button corresponds to one or more companies. In this mode, the search is carried out within the selected companies. The duration of the search cycle in this mode is significantly reduced compared to automatic search. Turn on the TV and point the remote at it. Press and hold the desired device selection button, for example, "TV". Then press and hold the number button “1” (in the table this number corresponds to and, and for “2” it corresponds to Panasonic and Hitachi, etc.). The remote control will begin sending a power-off signal, cycling through the codes in ascending order every two seconds. The light flashes while the signal is being sent. When the TV turns off, release both buttons. The indicator lamp will go out and the device code will be saved in the remote control memory. You can release one of the buttons while searching. After the third pause, the lamp will blink 8 times. The fourth digit is 8. Then the mode automatically turns off. You can use a pencil to write down the stored codes on the inside of the battery cover. This may come in handy later. After saving the code, turn on your device and check the operation of all buttons on the universal remote control. If any buttons do not work properly, try a different code. If this does not help or you cannot find the device code at all, you can teach the buttons on the universal remote control using the original remote control. 5

6 LEARNING FUNCTION LEARNING BUTTONS Press and release the desired device selection button, for example, “TV”. The lamp will blink once. Press and hold the LEARN button. After three seconds, when the light starts blinking continuously, release the button. The remote control has entered learning mode. Place your original remote control and the universal remote control opposite each other (sensor to sensor) at a distance of 1-2 cm. Getting started:

Carefully, observing polarity, install two batteries in the special compartment. Alkaline batteries are recommended.

Remember to change the batteries at least once a year!

Configure the remote control to work with the necessary devices. There are several ways you can do this.

After saving the code, turn on your device and check the operation of all buttons on the universal remote control. If any buttons do not work properly, try a different code.

Entering the code manually:

Find your device brand from the list of brands in the table. Each device brand is associated with one or more four-digit codes. Press and hold the desired SET button, then press the device selection button, such as TV. When the indicator light comes on, release both buttons. The indicator remains lit continuously. Enter the four-digit device code. As each digit is entered, the indicator lamp flashes and after entering the fourth digit it will go out, and the code will be saved in the remote control memory. If the code you enter is incorrect, the lamp will blink twice and remain on until you enter the correct code.

Manual code search:

If you do not know the manufacturer of your device or cannot find its code, you can select the code manually. To do this, first press and hold the “SET” button, and at the same time press the button of the equipment you have selected, for example “TV”. When the indicator lights up continuously, release the buttons. Then press the “SET” button once again, the indicator will start flashing. Point the remote control at the TV screen and press the POWER button. Each time you press this button, the remote control sends a power-off signal, cycling through the codes sequentially in ascending order. While the signal is being sent, the light flashes at an increased frequency. When the required code is found, your TV will turn off. Press the button of the selected equipment “TV”, the indicator lamp will go out, and the code will be saved in the remote control memory.

Automatic code search:

Turn on the device of your choice, for example a TV, and point the remote control at it. Press the desired device selection button once, for example, “TV”. Press and hold the SET button and the POWER button. After three seconds, when the indicator light comes on, release both buttons. The remote control will begin sending a power-off signal, cycling through the codes in ascending order every two seconds. The light flashes while the signal is being sent. When the TV turns off, immediately press any button (except the SET button) to stop the automatic search. The indicator lamp will go out and the device code will be saved in the remote control memory.

After the cycle is completed, the indicator lamp on the remote control will go out and the search mode will turn off. The duration of the search cycle can be up to 30 minutes. Every time You start the search, it starts with the last saved code. If you did not manage to stop the automatic code enumeration in a timely manner, you do not have to repeat the entire cycle again. Find out the current programmed device code, subtract a few units from it, enter the resulting value manually and then use the procedure manual search code. For example, you started automatically searching for TV. The TV turned off, but you stopped the search a little late, so the subsequent code, for example “1015,” was stored in the device’s memory. Manually program the code "1000". Then start the manual search procedure. If the required code is “1012”, then after the twelfth click on the “POWER", the TV will turn off.

How can I find out the current programmed device code?

Press the button of the selected device on the remote control once, for example, “TV”.

The first digit of the code can be found as follows. Press and hold the “SET” button and press the “1” button at the same time. Release both buttons. If the first digit of the code is 1, the indicator will blink once. The absence of an indicator signal means that the code number is “0”.

Second digit. Press and hold the “SET” button and simultaneously press the “2” button. Release both buttons. If the second digit of the code is “5”, the indicator will blink five times. The absence of an indicator signal means that the code number is “0”.

Third digit. Press and hold the “SET” button and press the “3” button at the same time. Release both buttons. If the first digit of the code is “7”, the indicator will blink seven times. The absence of an indicator signal means that the code number is “0”.

Fourth digit. Press and hold the “SET” button and press the “4” button at the same time. Release both buttons. If the first digit of the code is “3”, the indicator will blink three times. The absence of an indicator signal means that the code number is “0”. After saving the code, turn on your device and check the operation of all buttons on the universal remote control.

For some brands of TVs, the "POWER" has only the function of turning off the TV. To turn the TV back on, you must press any number button.

If your TV does not support certain features, such as the "MUTE" (mute), button "MUTE" on the remote will not function.

If you lose your TV remote, you don’t have to worry about it. There are always universal remote controls on sale that, after a fairly simple procedure, can easily replace the original model. The process of connecting to the TV will take no more than 10-15 seconds. It is only important to know how to set up a universal remote control.

Device structure

The design of the universal remote control is no different from the original models. Both types of devices have buttons for selecting channels, adjusting sound, setting a timer, and others.

Typically, both devices run on the same AA or AAA batteries. If you use one remote control for a large number of devices, then the batteries will have to be changed more often than in a conventional model.

Some features of the internal device may determine which devices can be controlled and how to configure the universal remote control. Gal LM p001, for example, has the ability quick connection to TV and SAT. Some other models do not have this feature.

Comparison of the original remote control with the universal one

There is no external difference between the two types of control devices. They differ only in the set of functions.

The first and main difference is that universal remote controls can be connected to a large number instruments and devices. They can be used simultaneously. For example, using one universal remote control you can turn on a TV, air conditioner, stereo system and any other electrical unit that allows remote control. The remote control will also allow you to control home theater functions, satellite dish and cable TV.

In addition, the cost of a universal remote control is lower than the original model, and the service life is usually longer.

For owners of older TV models, such a universal device will be a lifesaver if the original controller is lost. Original remote controls for previous years' models are simply not produced.

Are they really universal?

Any remote control can be used with different models TVs, players and air conditioners. Of course, there are exceptions. For example, what should you do if you can’t set up a universal remote control? How can I check if it fits a given device model? First, you need to look at the list of compatible models in the instructions for the remote control itself. If there are no instructions regarding this, and the connection cannot be established, the problem may be in both the remote control and the TV.

The versatility of remote controls is determined by the fact that, unlike original devices, which can be configured to work with only one device, they can simultaneously work with different devices from various manufacturers. At the same time, they do not have to be reconfigured every time.

How to set up a universal remote control

To establish a connection between your TV or other device and the universal remote control, you need to follow these steps:

  1. Turn on the remote control and point it towards the device.
  2. Simultaneously press the OK or SET button (depending on the remote control model) and hold for 3-5 seconds.
  3. Enter the code corresponding to your device model.
  4. Then press the TV button to make sure it is connected.

If for some reason the remote control does not connect to the TV, you need to do these steps again. The device code may have been entered incorrectly.

There is another way to configure the Huayu universal remote control. To connect such a device, you can use auto search:

  1. Turn on the device you want to configure.
  2. Press the SET button and then POWER.
  3. Release the buttons simultaneously.
  4. Press the POWER button again and release.
  5. Check if the sound volume indication appears on the screen.
  6. Press the SET button twice in a row.

Not all models of universal remote controls support the function automatic search. It is also possible that the auto search function is not supported by the TV model itself. Therefore, for some cases, there is only one way to configure the LM P001 universal remote control - manually.

Some brands differ in function quick search. To connect in this way, you need to perform the following algorithm:

  1. Turn on the device you want to connect to.
  2. Press and hold the TV button for a while.
  3. Release the button when the power indicator lights up.
  4. Press and hold the MUTE button.
  5. When the connection occurs, release the button.
  6. It's easy to check the operation of the remote control - just change the channel or adjust the sound.

If none of the methods worked and the code specified in the instructions did not work, you can use the last method - sequentially searching through the code manually.

How to determine the TV code

Each device model has its own universal code, which allows you to connect a remote control to it. It comes in three, four and five characters.

For example, to find out how to set up a universal remote control for Samsung, you need to look at the code information in the instructions for your TV or air conditioner.

It is important to remember that you need to enter the code of the connected device, and not the universal remote control.
