What is different about the Samsung Galaxy J5? Comparison of Samsung Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7: Are there really that many differences? Additional features and features

Home / Windows 7

However, these devices cost close to $1,000, while many users are looking for more modest deals. For this category, there is a J-line, the middle representative of which, Galaxy J5 (2017), we get to know this time.

Characteristics

  • screen: AMOLED, 5.2 inches, resolution 1280×720 pixels
  • platform: Samsung Exynos 7870
  • RAM: 2 GB, ROM: 16 GB
  • main camera: 13 MP (f/1.7), front camera: 13 MP (f/1.9) + flash
  • Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS
  • battery: 3000 mAh
  • accelerometer, light sensor, fingerprint scanner, NFC
  • dimensions: 146.2x71.3x8.0 mm, weight: 160 g
  • Android 7.0

Appearance

Aluminum Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) looks simple, due to which it does not attract unnecessary attention. It could have been confused with dozens of other smartphones, if not for the Samsung inscription on the body and the unusual shape of the plastic insert. The appearance is on the verge of boredom, although it does not cross it, but is rather associated with severity, but there is nothing special about it, at least in the black version:

The arrangement of elements is standard for the manufacturer: the volume buttons are on the left, the physical “Home” with a fingerprint scanner and the touch “Back” with a list of recently launched ones are under the display, connectors for charging and headphones are located on bottom end. The lock key is on the right, with a speaker slot visible above it.

Feelings of use, as opposed to appearance, we were pleased: the classic placement of the controls allows all Samsung users to skip the period of adaptation to the new device, and the streamlined shape of the ends coupled with the dimensions provided the most comfortable grip. The smartphone turned out to be heavier than you expect when you look at it, but the weight cannot be called excessive; it rather says that you have a solid thing in your hands.

Screen

The display of the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) with a diagonal of 5.2 inches and a resolution of 1280x720 pixels is built using Super AMOLED technology, which gives perfect blacks and oversaturated colors in normal mode. The settings allow you to activate more natural tones that are close to natural.

The picture quality is high, especially due to the richness of the image and excellent viewing angles. Brightness is enough for sunny day, I was also pleased with the minimal amount of glare; the colors do not fade even in direct sunlight. The minimum brightness level turned out to be too high - it was uncomfortable for the eyes.

A blue filter is present, which facilitates interaction at night, and the white balance is adjusted manually. The device does not have an always-on display, familiar from the manufacturer’s more expensive smartphones, but this is a deliberate limitation that defines the J-series as a more budget-friendly solution.

The resolution is comfortable for all usage scenarios, but on small text you can see a “ladder” if your vision is 100 percent and the screen is 20cm from your face. You rarely have to hold the phone so close, and such small text, where the effect is visible, is found only on sites that are not optimized for smartphones, so this feature can be omitted.

Performance

Galaxy J5 (2017) received an 8-core mid-range Exynos 7870 processor and 2 GB RAM, which in 2017 can be considered the minimum for comfortable work. Benchmarks:

Modern Combat 5 with “Optimal” graphics quality remained almost the entire gameplay within 26-30 fps (with rare dips for a moment or two to 21 fps), and even after 15 minutes of play the smartphone’s body remained barely warm. Asphalt 8 at maximum settings stayed in the range of 25-30 fps and periodically dropped to 20 fps. You can play on a smartphone, but you will have to sacrifice graphics.

Applications run quickly, although in some places it takes longer to launch the program than we would like. The interface works smoothly in most cases, with occasional stuttering observed in the first few seconds of use and when scrolling through long lists. A stable (albeit not large) loss of FPS is noticeable in social network clients where there is dynamically loaded content; materials with a large number of images scroll in the browser with significant twitches.

The behavior generally corresponds to what can be observed on most smartphones with comparable hardware: in some tasks there is a lack of processing power, but most of the time the device works comfortably.

Autonomy

The battery capacity of the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) was 3000 mAh, which can hardly be called a benchmark for the middle class. However, in this case the numbers are deceptive, since the smartphone did not disappoint with its autonomy.

Medium loads using two mailboxes, two messengers and a dozen application programs (text editor, Twitter client, article storage service and more) the smartphone survived with dignity - just over 6 hours of active screen with 28 hours of autonomy. The test includes two hours of podcast listening and about 30 minutes of YouTube video playback, as well as 20 minutes of casual gaming.

An ordinary user will get one and a half to two days of work from one charge, and a demanding consumer will definitely last a day and, with a high probability, will not be left without communication for a day.

Camera

Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) received a 13-megapixel main camera (f/1.7), which became the most controversial aspect of the smartphone. Good lighting conditions allow the smartphone to work well in close-ups, in particular, maintain the correct colors, do not push up the sharpness and maintain excellent detail.

Medium and distant objects in general case They look attractive, but the work of the algorithms is already noticeable: increased saturation and loss of detail on distant objects. At the same time, small elements (foliage, building relief) do not turn into a mess of pixels, but rather get a light watercolor effect - it doesn’t look as bad as it might seem, and even adds stylization for home photos.

The main failure of the camera is the narrow dynamic range, which kills most contrast scenes. HDR doesn't always help because it makes every image too bright (and still misses detail in the brightest areas).

No HDR

No HDR

HDR

Sometimes the smartphone still manages to cope with the bright sun, dark areas, and even foliage, but this inconsistency is frustrating. As a result, we have an average camera for its class, which sometimes takes good shots, in some cases makes minor mistakes, and periodically refuses to take any acceptable photo.

Additional features and features

The smartphone works under Android control 7.0 with a proprietary launcher and a number of its own programs. Some of them repeat those from Google, but if the browser seems superfluous to someone, Samsung’s calendar, as it has been since the time of the first Note, is one of the best on the market, in principle, and remains so.

Branded features like “ Game mode", "Secure folder" and the ability to use several copies of applications (relevant for instant messengers) are also available in the J-series of smartphones. The J5 has a one-handed operation mode, which will be useful for users with small hands. The notification reminder option will be useful for anyone who often misses them.

The fingerprint scanner is not as accurate as the one - oily or wet fingers are read in 7 cases out of 10 - but there are no complaints about the speed. Although you won’t be able to enjoy the quick response when unlocking, since the transition to the home screen takes about a second. But in applications the difference with the best representatives is not felt.

Communications and sound

The speaker installed on the right side works perfectly: it is very loud and suffers almost no overload. The sound quality, if you do not take into account music smartphones, is high, but there is traditionally no bass. The sound in the headphones does not stand out from the alternatives, but there is no problem with a lack of volume.

All radio modules work stably, we were especially pleased with the Wi-Fi reception range and GPS accuracy. The smartphone also pleases with the presence of NFC and readiness for Samsung Pay, which, according to rumors, could launch in Ukraine before the end of the year if the company and local banks agree on terms.

two SIM card slots adjacent to a microSD slot

Broadcast mobile traffic and the voice is stable, the speaker loudly and clearly conveys the interlocutor’s speech, the microphones also do not distort the voice. Noise canceling cuts great unnecessary sounds, including almost completely clearing out the echo when talking in a spacious room.

Competitors

Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) is available in three colors, blue, gold and black, the front panel is painted to match the body. The only modification, with 16 GB of permanent memory, the official retail price is 7999 UAH.

Remains the most advantageous offer in the price segment up to 8,000 UAH, if we talk about specifications, in particular this applies to the flagship Snapdragon 821 processor and variations of permanent and RAM. In addition, it contains USB Type-C. Galaxy J5 2017 is more interesting due to the brand, optimization of the firmware for the Ukrainian region and widespread service, as well as novelty. In addition, the “official” Mi 5s costs 8999 UAH, which is not so encouraging.

It became a direct competitor to the new J5 (7995 UAH) with a higher display resolution and better battery life, but larger dimensions. Otherwise, the devices are close, the user should choose based on appearance, but as soon as Samsung Pay starts working in Ukraine, the Galaxy J5 2017 will become a much more interesting acquisition.

Conclusions

Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) is a classic representative of the mid-segment from a famous brand: neat, well-built, with a well-developed radio part, but without the most powerful filling. The computing power, however, is enough for most typical tasks, so only flagship users or people well familiar with the world of technology will pay attention to the latter.

The Galaxy J5 2017 is unlikely to attract geeks, but it will sell well, as hinted by the success of last year's line. The only question is whether the consumer will be able to see enough of a difference between this smartphone and the J3 2017 to pay almost 3,000 UAH more.

The new Samsung product is clearly designed for the masses, who are more interested in getting good pre-installed software, a familiar shell and a stable phone from a manufacturer with a big name. The camera takes pictures, the screen is nice, you can pay contactlessly in the store, it lasts a day on a charge - this is enough to buy the J5 2017 and not be disappointed.

3 reasons to buy Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017)

  • convenient case
  • excellent work of radio modules
  • separate slots for two SIM cards and microSD

2 reasons not to buy Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017):

  • periodic slowdowns and sometimes slow program launches
  • no USB Type-C

Price and purchase

Before purchasing the Samsung J5 (2017), I began to study prices; there was nothing special to monitor, because... the official price for purchasing “today” was the same - 17,999 rubles, some stores gave a discount of one and a half thousand rubles for “deferred purchase”.

And then I saw a great offer on Aliexpress! I ordered from the Russian Tmall Mall, with goods from world brands, delivery by courier from a warehouse in Moscow. The gadget is original, no different from what is presented in DNS, Eldorado and other hardware stores, it arrived in 2 days with all warranty documents.

Case color

The updated Samsung J5 (2017) line features 4 colors, while initially only 3 were announced in Russia: black, blue and gold, which are not available for order. for a long time remained pink. Now in some online stores you can find the J5 in a pink case; pink has not been seen in offline sales.

Initially, I chose between blue and gold, but my soul wanted white. It should be noted that all shades are metallic.

  • Blue is a mixture of silver and is a unique shade of Samsung.
  • Gold is more reminiscent of sandy beige, a discreet shade, without pretensions to Luhari!

Equipment

Along with the smartphone, the box also contains:

Charger (consists of a socket and a USB cable),

Headphones (standard 3.5 output),

Plug for opening slots.

Design

The phone body is made of metal, the back cover is matte and very pleasant to the touch; it can slide in dry hands. The front panel and screen are filled with glass; there is only one button on the front. The slots for two SIM cards and a memory card are located on the side, they open when pressed with a plug, they will not open accidentally.

By the way, Samsung’s case is non-separable, and therefore the battery is not removable, so separate replacement of this part is impossible (just like with Apple).

Photo and video quality

Both front and rear cameras are 13 MP, each equipped with a flash.

Samsung J5 produces a good picture, both in photos and in videos. The smartphone's zoom works great, even at maximum zoom you can see the details of the photo.

I mostly take my photos for reviews on a Canon IXUS point-and-shoot camera, I can say that now my hand is more drawn to the phone, because it is less picky about lighting, and Canon starts to be a bit mischievous and makes a lot of noise when shooting a dark object.

Sound and speech quality during conversations

Unfortunately, the phone does not have noise reduction, so if you call from the street, then your interlocutor hears not only you, but also the wind, traffic, etc.

Several times my interlocutors (people from different communication providers) said that I was disappearing or that something was rustling, but I could hear them perfectly.

The phone picks up the signal well, there is a signal in the elevator, in the suburbs it also stays more confident than in previous smartphone.

The reproduced sound (music, video, phone signals) is clear, without interference or rustling. The speakers are separated, if I watch a video on YouTube and immediately turn on music, different speakers will work.

Other characteristics

The sensor works very quickly. The phone is simple and easy to use. There are no problems with the signal or connection quality.

Charges quickly. Charge holds for a long time:

  • 1-1.5 days, this includes actively watching videos and using Whats App.
  • I think that if you just make calls and correspond, it will last up to 3 days.

Safety

From additional functions, there is a fingerprint sensor, it is located in the central button of the phone, on the front panel, the sensor remembers up to 3 prints. The phone quickly responds to the owner’s fingerprint, but you won’t be able to unlock the Samsung with wet hands. Additionally, you can set another way to lock the device: a password or a graphic pattern.

If you connect a smartphone to a computer, the latter does not see any information until the owner unlocks the phone and presses the “Allow” command.

A quick comparison between Samsung J5 (2017) and Samsung J5 (2016)

The updated version has a different design, the camera on the rear panel is located differently. The newcomer also had “arches” on the rear panel and the metal trim on the speaker disappeared. The location of the holes and the number of slots remain the same. Samsung 2017 is the same width as Samsung 2016, but slightly longer than its predecessor.

Samsung's Galaxy J line of smartphones is one of the best-selling. Not long ago, the company updated it and introduced the Galaxy J3, Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 2017. We tell you in detail what's new and interesting about Samsung mid-rangers in our review.

Design and appearance

When you see these smartphones in the picture, it seems that they look a little strange. This impression is also created by the plastic antenna inserts on back cover, which have a very unusual shape. But in real life, both the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 look good. The weight is especially surprising - even the J5 seems like a monolithic piece of metal, not to mention the J7. It seems that they are more expensive than they actually are. You feel this especially acutely on black smartphones. They collect more prints, but look more expensive. In addition to black, the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 will be sold in pink, blue and gold.

Both devices look exactly the same, the only difference is in size. At the bottom there is a Micro-USB for charging and synchronization. In 2017, a smartphone without Type-C looks very strange, but these are the realities new Galaxy J. Also located at the bottom is a microphone and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The speaker is located on the right side, under the power button. Its unusual location does not cause discomfort, except in one case: if, when watching a video or while playing a game, you take the device with both hands and clasp the upper ends with your index fingers, the speaker closes. There is a power button under the speaker, a volume rocker on the left side and two trays at once that can accommodate two SIM cards and a memory card; you won’t have to sacrifice anything. The Galaxy J7 is claimed to be protected from dust and splashes according to the IP54 standard; the J5 does not have this joy.

Main differences between Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7

Galaxy J5 is equipped with a 5.2-inch SuperAMOLED screen with a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels (282 ppi), an eight-core Exynos 7870 processor, a Mali-T830 graphics chip, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage and a 3000 mAh battery.

The Galaxy J7 has a larger screen size - 5.5 inches, and its resolution is Full HD (401 ppi). The processor is the same, but the RAM is 3 GB. The volume of the built-in battery is significantly larger - 3600 mAh.

Display

The display in both Super AMOLED smartphones is of very decent quality, bright and with maximum viewing angles. As standard for AMOLED displays, the picture is too saturated, but in the settings you can adjust the color to suit you. There is automatic brightness adjustment and oleophobic coating. Screens are one of the main advantages of these smartphones over their competitors. I would like the Galaxy J5 to also have a Full HD display, but for Samsung this is a budget mid-range. Plus, if you need a larger display with good sparseness, there's always the Galaxy J7. This smartphone, unlike the Galaxy J5, among other things, also has an Always On Display function, that is, the time and other information is always displayed on the screen. This is due to the fact that the company either did not want to load the battery of the Galaxy J5, or wanted to give the Galaxy J7, in addition to hardware, also software advantages.

Autonomy

Both smartphones are capable of providing a full day of work with social networks, YouTube videos, reading, listening to music and other forms of their use. 4-5 hours of screen operation for the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 is not the limit. Moreover, the operating time on both devices is approximately comparable. Fast charging not here. Samsung has lines more expensive than the Galaxy J, where all this already exists and no one wants to create internal competition.

Performance

In terms of performance, it can be noted that in most scenarios, smartphones work normally, multitasking, not very heavy games, almost all applications launch and work as normal. It's a little more difficult with heavy games. For example, you can play tanks, but only on low settings; Asphalt 8 or Real Racing runs fine on medium settings, although sometimes there are slight freezes. But what did you expect from the average? His destiny is timekillers and there are no questions here, of course. On the other hand, the J7, thanks to 3 GB of RAM, performs better in heavy games.

The interface works with some delay. This is especially noticeable when calling up the menu. The rest of the interface is pretty quick. The shell itself is the same as in . A lot of settings, the ability to apply themes. There's no Bixby, but swiping right on the home screen brings up a separate page with the Flipboard-powered news aggregator Briefing. To be honest, this solution seems even more interesting and practical than the new one voice assistant Bixby from Samsung. There is always a source of news at hand, no additional programs not required. Another software feature worth noting is the ability to use two messenger accounts in one device. This function is familiar to many Chinese smartphones, and in any dual-SIM smartphone it should be by default, in our opinion. There is an FM radio, a rather rare occurrence these days, and a Game Launcher that helps you manage game settings or record your screen while playing without third-party applications.

Camera

Both smartphones are equipped with the same 13 megapixel modules with an f/1.7 aperture. Compared to the previous generation, the camera has definitely taken a step forward. There is a panorama mode, HDR and even manual settings. The quality of photo and video shooting is one of the most important criteria that buyers set for smartphones, and the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 can easily replace an inexpensive point-and-shoot camera. The oversharpening of the pictures and the thoughtful autofocus are a little confusing, but we had non-commercial samples in our test. Perhaps this will be corrected in the public versions. Smartphones can record video in Full HD at 30 frames per second. The front camera is worth mentioning separately. It is also 13 megapixels with an f/1.9 aperture and its own flash. The entire J line has flash. It is constant and simply illuminates you while shooting. The screen also works as a flash. It is possible to automatically retouch the face. Ladies will appreciate this approach.

Samsung's J series are low-cost devices designed primarily to be sold at low rates. However, the J5 2017 model can be considered an exemplary budget car of this year.

The front panel of the Galaxy J5 2017 may look familiar - the equipment has the typical set of buttons under the screen (one physical and two touch), as well as an oval frame shape, typical for most Samsung phones. However, if we look at back panel The J5 2017 is noticeably different in design from its predecessors, as well as other devices from the brand.

The smartphone was placed in a frame made of aluminum. The design is uniform in color, and in the black version only the antenna strips stand out, which are distributed in a certain way in the upper and lower parts of the rear panel.

Without a doubt, the phone looks much better than its predecessor and, of course, more prestigious. The only drawback, perhaps, is the lack of backlighting touch buttons under the display.

The build quality of the Galaxy J5 2017 is almost exemplary. The aluminum body is perfectly rigid and the side buttons stay securely in place. The phone is surprisingly convenient and neat. The manufacturer has provided very good way design of the case, making the device very comfortable in the hand. New to the J series is the integration of a fingerprint reader into the button under the screen of the device.

Screen and multimedia Samsung Galaxy J5 2017

The display of the J5 2017 model has a diagonal of 5 inches and a resolution of 1280x720. This is a Super AMOLED matrix, which means the image quality, contrast and saturation are at a high level. Yes, indeed, the only problem with this panel is the already mentioned resolution, which has a pixel density of 282/inch. This value is acceptable, but users using higher-quality screens will immediately notice that sharpness is not ideal.

The external speaker is of average quality and is located quite unusual place- in the upper part of the right side of the body. However, this is a very clever location that effectively prevents the grille from which the sound is coming from being accidentally obstructed.

Camera and battery

The camera of the tested model looks very promising if we look at its parameters, and specifically at the optics. The 13-megapixel sensor is equipped with a fast lens with f/1.7 aperture. This is a value that is mainly boasted by more expensive, higher-end smartphones.

The effect of using a light lens is visible primarily after dark, and in dark settings. In such conditions, unlike most models in this price range, the J5 2017 is able to take beautiful, clear photos. Unfortunately, quite often the absence makes itself felt optical stabilization(slightly blurry frames), but yes, the smartphone camera deserves high praise.

At daylight The Galaxy J5 2017 takes photos of similar quality to the models in this series. Photos are usually clear and colors are rich. The kit is complemented by a simple and intuitive application that automatically adjusts image parameters very well.

Also worthy of attention is the front camera, which has a fast lens (f/1.9) and boasts outstanding image quality in any conditions. Battery? Lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh built-in design. In practice, you can count on at least 2 days of using the phone without recharging. This is a good result if we evaluate autonomy by today's standards.

Performance and System

The performance of the device is ensured by the Exynos 7870 chip, operating at a maximum clock frequency of 1.6 GHz and being an analogue of the Snapdragon 625 from Qualcomm. Graphics rendering is entrusted to the Mali-T830 processor, and the RAM size is 2 GB.

The chipset is powerful enough to effectively handle any game or application from the Play Store. One of the inconveniences is the small amount of storage memory, which is only 16 GB. In performance tests, the phone looks like this: Antutu - 46,013 points, Quadrant Standard - 15,367 points, 3DMark SlingShot Extreme - 243 points.

Responsible for controlling Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 operating system Google Android 7.0. The system runs on Samsung's well-known interface called Samsung Experience, which is very transparent and easy to use. As for the style, it is very similar to that used in the 2017 flagship Galaxy S8.

Generally, Samsung model The Galaxy j5 2017 is a smartphone that is very easy to love. A good, well-made and easy-to-use device is one of the best offers for its price.

Samsung DeX Dock Review

More about the docking station Samsung DeX- https://goo.gl/3U6877⇩⇩⇩⇩Every large company is trying to offer something new and enter the market with a new product, but nowadays it is becoming more and more difficult to do this.

In June, Samsung made a double announcement - two smartphones of the same line appeared at once, and these are the Galaxy J7 and J5. So if you suddenly want to buy a smartphone with an average budget, you will either have to choose between last year’s flagships or choose something new. Therefore, it will be very difficult to choose, although it is much more interesting to get Samsung Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7, because they have a new design and support micro-SIM and Dual-SIM. By the way, there are models on sale in black, white and gold.

Case materials, dimensions, weight and design

Both Galaxy smartphone J have the same body materials - anodized controls and supposedly a metal frame. As a result, we get a completely traditional design in the Samsung style. The difference in size is not particularly noticeable, but if you attach too much importance to this, then here are the numbers: Galaxy J7 - 152.2 x 78.7 x 7.5 mm, Galaxy J5 - 142.1 x 71.8 x 7.9 mm. Accordingly, the weight of the first is 171 g, and the second is 146 g. As I noticed, the design is the same for smartphones, therefore the location of all buttons and the camera is completely identical.

Verdict: When it comes to design and body materials, none of these smartphones win. They are completely identical and the only difference is in size. But in fact it will be more convenient to use the Galaxy J5 - it is more compact and will fit better in the hand.

Screen, dimensions and resolution

Samsung once again does not surprise us with anything here. Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 received capacitive multi-touch Super AMOLED screens. The older model has a 5.5-inch screen, and the J5 has a 5-inch one. Since the technologies are identical, the resolution is the same - 1280 x 720 pixels. But the difference in diagonal leads to a difference in pixel density - 267ppi and 294ppi. Of course, the density is higher Galaxy screen J5.

Verdict: Both smartphones show very good image quality. Of course, the Galaxy J5 wins due to its smaller diagonal - the picture on its screen is slightly clearer. And yet, in reality, you are unlikely to notice any difference.

Camera

Both smartphones have the same cameras – both the front and the main ones. And on the back panel of the J5 and J7 they placed a 13-megapixel camera, with LED flash, digital zoom, and autofocus. It is also worth noting that there is support for HDR shooting, white balance presets, touch focus, ISO control, geo-tagging and face recognition. The front 5-megapixel cameras also received LED flashes for cool selfies.

Verdict: Each of these smartphones takes excellent photos and high-quality video, both in normal lighting and in low light.

Hardware and software

The Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 received Snapdragon processors, but the J7 is more powerful - it has an eight-core processor (4x 1.4GHz and 4x 1GHz), while the J5 runs on a quad-core processor with a frequency of 1.2GHz. There is also a difference in the graphics processor: Galaxy J7 – Adreno 405, Galaxy J5 – Adreno 306. But installed version The firmware and version of TouchWiz are the same.

Each smartphone has 1.5 GB of RAM. The Galaxy J7 has a minimum of 16GB of memory, and the Galaxy J5 has a minimum of 8GB, but you can still use MicroSD cards up to 128GB.

Smartphones have lithium ion batteries different capacities: J7 – 3000 mAh, J5 – 2600 mAh.

Verdict: With eight core processor and more powerful GPU Galaxy J7 still remains the leader in performance. However, that doesn't mean the Galaxy J5 will disappoint. Even though J7 has 2 times more internal memory, you can use a MicroSD card at any time. And the fact that the battery in the J7 is larger is also far from an advantage, because it has a more powerful processor.
