What are the automatic tuning numbers for Ufanet 10.8 2.1. Reviews about the Internet provider Ufanet

Home / Routers

Good afternoon. I recently switched to a 500 Mbit/s tariff. Day 1: I contact the TP, the speed does not correspond to the declared one. An engineer arrives and identifies the cause of the problem as oxide on the ports and connectors. I cleaned it and re-compressed it, connected and started checking the speed. Doubts arose when he started knocking on the Ufanet server to measure the speed. The output received 300-320 Mbit/s. To other Ufa servers 100-130. Okay, let's release the engineer.

Day 2: look at blockages. We go to the rutor, look for a more advanced distribution (for sampling, we take two more analogues on different similar resources and put them in turn) and set them to download. 10 MB/s. Let's take the next one - 10 MB/s. The third one is similar. 10 MB/s is the maximum.

Let's start looking deeper into the process. Each distribution has at least 100 peers.

The am_choked and peer_choked parameters are not prohibited. The analysis was carried out block by block, after the start of downloading, to exclude the first blocks with am_choked=0.

Equipment: Xiaomi miRouter Pro R3P.

Everything is set to gigabit. Cable connection. There is no VPN.

The essence of the question: is the download speed of torrents artificially reduced through deep traffic analysis? :)

If not, then try not to say that torrent download speed is not an indicator. It will not be an indicator for people who cannot conduct at least some analysis.

Z.Y. Please don't send me to the line, they can only send an engineer. Just answer here please.

Ufanet is a popular provider in the Republic of Bashkortostan; the company specializes in providing access to TV and the World Wide Web. Digital television from Ufanet represents the best combination of high-quality sound and video, thanks to which you can experience genuine emotions when watching the action on the screen. When connecting to digital TV, users are completely immersed in their favorite shows and movies.

Interactive TV is available in every home

In order to configure channels for Ufanet correctly, it is important to know the procedure. The instructions described below will help you set up Ufanet digital TV for Samsung devices.

Detailed instructions

Of course, it all depends on specific model, because the menu structure and interface may differ, but the procedure and essence do not change. Tune Samsung TV you can do this:

  • press the Menu key on the remote control, this will help you go to the main TV menu;
  • select “Country” in the “Channel” section;
  • enter the standard PIN code (1234, 1111, 0000) or the numbers that you set yourself;
  • in the parameter " Digital channel» you must select “Others”. This will allow you to configure the television correctly;
  • Click on "Cable Search Options" in the "Channel" section. Interestingly, in devices manufactured after 2010, this item may appear during the Auto-Tuning process.

Cable Search Options

At this point we have to fulfill the most important settings, on which the performance of television on Samsung equipment depends. To tune to the correct frequency, you should enter the ending frequency 770000 and the starting frequency 274000 of the city of Ufa. Set the modulation parameter to 256 QAM and the symbol rate to 6750.

After this, you can return to the “Channel” item and go to the “Auto Configuration” menu. There the type of channels (digital) is set, as well as the signal source (cable).

If you did everything correctly, then when you search, the Samsung TV will find about 10 radio and about two hundred television programs.

Results

Ufanet digital television can be set up in minutes on any TV. The procedure for different equipment is very similar and consists of several elementary steps. Finally, let’s add that after searching for all TV channels, you can set the internal clock (GMT zone and “Auto” clock mode, this is done in the System - Time menu).

There is a provider in Ufa that provides communications using the PPPoE protocol. In other cities, the same provider provides communication through a different protocol - PPTP. We are talking about the company Ufanet.

Connecting a Ufanet router to the cable will not be difficult, and setting up the connection will be even easier. You just need to do everything in order, and the connection will work the first time.

Classic network harvester Dir-300, its hardware ports

So, before setting up a connection with the Ufanet provider, you need to find out which of the two protocols you will configure the router for, PPTP or PPPoE. In both cases, a login and password are used to establish a connection. Here we are considering only the option of setting up a “PPTP” connection. As for Ufanet specifically, to create a connection with this provider, consider two nuances. Namely, you need to disable IGMP in the connection settings interface, and it is better to specify “PPTP + Dynamic IP” as the protocol.

D-Link router WAN port parameters

We will show in an example what needs to be done to get into the router’s web interface. The experimental device was the Dir-300 router with a “black” interface, but another model can be configured in a similar way. And the common thing for all devices that implement the “PPTP” connection method is the following. You can create a pair of connections (one for “Dynamic IP”, the second for “PPTP”), or one single connection, the type of which is “PPTP + Dynamic IP”.

It is important to know that those devices that use a protocol like “PPTP with a dynamic IP address” will work in the Ufanet provider’s network. Configuring the IPoE (dynamic IP) communication channel and the PPTP connection separately is useless.

Go to the settings interface

By connecting your computer to any LAN port via patch cord, do not supply power to the router immediately. Check that network card configured to “auto” IP and DNS. You need to open the parameters of the TCP/IP v4 protocol:

Setting up a wired connection on a PC

But even if all the selectors were set correctly, click right click by the connection icon, and select the “Fix” line. Lastly, turn on the corded harvester itself.

The device will boot up in about a minute. Then you open your browser and go to this address: 192.168.0.1. For non-D-Link devices, the address ends with "1.1". A form with an authorization request will appear in the browser window. For the model we are considering, the administrator login and password are the word “admin” without quotes. After successfully logging into the interface, we recommend switching the language to Russian.

What is displayed when you log in

It is important to know that if you cannot go to the interface using standard methods, do the following. After loading the router, press the reset button on it, holding it for 10-12 seconds. As a result, all settings will be reset (each of them will return to its default value). Then, you can repeat the steps discussed in this chapter - everything should work as it should.

Setting up a PPTP connection

We hope that the provider's cord is already connected to the WAN port of your router. If this is not the case, then know that you can make the connection when the device is completely de-energized. The following information must be written on the sheet:

  • Ufanet subscriber login;
  • The value of his password;
  • VPN server domain name (it is always: pptp.ufanet.ru).

The digital address of the VPN server used at the time of writing this review is 10.8.0.1. This value can be substituted for the domain name, but the provider does not recommend this to anyone, be aware of this.

Actually, the interface of most home routers allows you to set an HTTP address, and not a set of numbers for the IP address. And we must use this. By explicitly specifying the VPN IP, we do not take into account the fact that the provider itself has the right to change the value of this IP at any time. And the network harvester that we are setting up allows you to set a name (a sequence of letters of the HTTP address) in the “VPN server” line.

Go to the WAN port settings tab

Open GUI, as discussed above. Switch it to the “Advanced Settings” mode, click on the “WAN” link.

Main page of the web interface

A tab will appear on which you need to click the “Add” button. A page with connection parameters should open.

Now we will set up a connection with Ufanet. You need to do the following:

Internet channel parameters tab (start)

  1. In the top list, select the value “PPTP + Dynamic IP”;
  2. Be sure to uncheck the “Enable IGMP” checkbox; you can do the same with the “Ping” option;
  3. Scroll down the engine on the right side of the tab;
  4. Fill in the fields with an asterisk: login, password, its confirmation, VPN server address;
  5. Select the authentication algorithm “CHAP” (but you can leave “AUTO”);
  6. Uncheck the “Ping” box and click the “Save” button.

Internet channel parameters tab (continued)

Finally, you need to remember the changes you made. To do this, select the “Save” item in the top menu. and Reboot", and after the combine is rebooted, it will connect to the provider automatically.

Some important setup notes

The device that we configured contains the “correct” parameter values by default. This will not always be the case, and it is important to know the following. The “Keep Alive” checkbox, which is contained in the settings tab, must be checked in any case. And for D-Link routers this applies to two more options – “NAT” and “Firewall”. Without them, the connection does not work at all, even regardless of the protocol type.

But what will happen if you use the “Ping” option (in other models it is called “WAN Ping Respond”). Just like a computer connected directly to an ISP, a router receives a specific IP address. From the external network, ping requests can be sent to this address. We did not enable this option so that our router would not respond to these requests.

- Andrey, how will this affect subscribers of the Ufanet cable network?

Absolutely no way! Our subscribers now watch both analog and digital cable television on their TV, and everything will remain that way. You won't need to buy any additional devices, change the TV. Everything will be alright.

All the media talk about this, exaggerate this topic. This causes concern among citizens. How justified is this panic? Maybe you can explain what's really going on?

Let's figure it out. There is most likely confusion here. There are three main types of television in Russia: cable television, which the Ufanet company provides, satellite television, which is only digital. This issue does not concern cable or satellite. And the so-called terrestrial television. This is the television that you can watch on your indoor antenna or to a collective antenna, which is located on the roof of the house. The question concerns specifically terrestrial television, which is distributed through the air. It comes in two types: analog and digital. Digital has recently launched and is a new direction in this area. But analogue television is many years old and, in principle, it is natural that our legislators decided to stop supporting this television. And from 2019, as far as I know, it will be discontinued. That is, people who today watch analogue terrestrial television using a room or community antenna, yes, indeed, from some point on, they will not see this television. They will need to replace the TV with a modern one that will accept digital terrestrial television or purchase digital set-top box for digital terrestrial television, or connect to cable television, which is much easier.

Very often, against the backdrop of people’s misunderstanding, scammers become active. How can unscrupulous people take advantage of this situation?

I have heard such stories when some unscrupulous people begin to scare people who do not fully understand the topic: “here, buy expensive equipment, preferably directly from us, because tomorrow your analog television will stop showing.” Once again I would like to say that if you are connected to cable or satellite television and they are trying to tell you all this, that you urgently need to buy something, most likely, these are scammers. That is, under no circumstances should you believe in it. And once again I want to remind you that this topic has nothing to do with subscribers cable television Ufanet company. There will be no additional expenses or equipment purchases required, so you can rest assured.
